Digital Ink-Jet Printing

MC-Jet printings systems had been designed five years ago for individual printing of optician stamp, numbers, ophthalmic symbols and graphical elements.

Compared to conventional pad printers the MC-Jet contains the highest flexibility to print any lens in an individual style.

MC-Jet 3.0

MC-Jet 3.0

MC-Jet V3.0 is an open system and designed to combine other modules like e.g. lens inspection or different kinds of laser engraving. The productivity of the basic version is for about 200 lenses per hour while the optional second printer head achieves up to > 400 lenses per hour.

MC-Jet systems digital lens printing systems are determinated for the ‘Optician-Stamp’ and flexible and individual prints on the lenses. It sticks on all surfaces and coatings, even on super hydrophobic surfaces

Features:

• full automatic operation for RX- and mass production
• unlimited number of printing contents
• best Ink-Jet quality on regular as well as super hydrophobic coatings
• short term air drying ink
• high resolution print quality (vector printing)
• camera equipped for SF & progressive lens recognition
• no UV radiation stress for lenses (!)
• much less ghost images risk compared to other ink technologies
• OMA / VCA compatible

• cost effective system, very low cost of operation
• no clichés required
• minimal maintenance required
• environment protecting by minimum solvent consumption

• conveying system, h= 1000 +/- 70 mm, width 180 … 300 mm
• job trays LOH or similar
• job reading by barcode or RFID

Mapping device for full lens inspection

Our quality and inspection systems are following the need of checking lenses and glasses before they are going to the optician or retailer.
The MQ series is the flexible adaptation to the fast-moving market developments. The seamless integration of additional functions including optical power mapping of lenses, increases the system‘s throughput and overall productivity.

MC-Flexc-ROB

The MC-Flexc-ROB is robot controlled semi-automatic system for contact lens engraving.

MC-Flexc-ROB

The MC-Flexc-ROB is a robot controlled semi-automatic system for contact lens engraving.
The system can handle calottes with RGP lenses and soft lenses as well as aluminium calottes. Besides the high-quality Excimer engraving, the system also features a function for sorting the lenses after the engraving process.

Features:
  • Productivity depending on the type and amount of engraving required – up to 150 lenses / hour
  • unlimited number of engravings
  • optimum “cold ablation” Excimer engraving quality
  • cost-effective system with regular one-year-service cycle
Highlights:

The calottes are used during the engraving process and other production steps to carry RGP lenses, contact lenses and other special types of lens. The interaction of a mechanical 5-axis robot and a free-form calotte is a unique combination which allows individual, very fine and highly accurate engraving results to be applied at any lens position.

MC-Jet DeskTop

The MC-Jet Desktop is a manual system and designed to for individual and flexible lens printing.

The system can handle unblocked lenses (single vision as well as PAL) for digital Ink-Jet prints. It operates with easily removable alcohol based ink.

Operation steps

a) Lens loading into the clamping chuck
b) Job number reading by barcode
c) Receiving project file e.g. from HOST
d) PAL lens alignment by mouse clicking on the 2 permanent marks
e) Ink-Jet printing
f) Lens unloading

Options:
full automatic image recognition of the permanent marks
host / RX server connection

Features:

manual operation for small and midsize labs
productivity depending on printing content 60 to 90 lenses / hour
unlimited number of printing contents; no clichés required
best Ink-Jet quality and short term air drying ink
high resolution print quality
camera equipped for SF & progressive lens recognition
no UV radiation stress for lenses and coatings (!)
compared to pad printing much less ghost image behaviour
cost effective system, very low cost of operation
minimal maintenance required
